Like.Want.Need. Zara Home.

I've always loved Zara for their clothes, shoes and accessories but had never really seen much of their home ware so decided to have a little look at their website (here) and became a bit obsessed with how beautiful everything was! Particularly all of their uniquely designed cushions and home accessories. Can't wait to have a proper house of my own to design from scratch (and the money to do it however I want!)

Nails Nails Nails..

Just thought I would share with you all a few nail designs I have done recently.. I use Gelish Gel Polishes (I am professionally trained) and Wow! craft glitters.
I am a little bit obsessed with nail art and have so many designs that I want to do and am currently in the middle of making a nail menu for them all!

Are there any nail art designs you're loving at the moment?

Like.Want.Need. AW Obsessions edition.

Office Ava over the knee flat boots
Topshop snake print dress
Stylist Pick/Dorothy Perkins heeled chelsea boots
New Look check shirt
New Look leopard chelsea boots
Topshop Innocent lipstick
ASOS leopard trousers
New Look Kelly Brook over the knee heeled boots

First of all, I need to apologise again for being a very bad blogger! I don't really have too many excuses as I've actually not been too busy recently. Saying that, last week I did move back to Bournemouth for my fourth and final year of Uni anddd got a new job..

Anyway, I think it's fair to say that Autumn is now truly upon us and that can mean only one thing.. New season shopping!! I have done a lottt of shopping this week which is really really bad of me and I have actually bought every single piece from this Like.Want.Need. post!!

These Office Ava boots are exactly what I have been searching for for Autumn/Winter. I have been looking for a pair of suede, over the knee boots with a chelsea boot style shape to the heel and toe. These boots were pretty expensive (£99 after student discount!) but I think they are worth it and should definitely last for years and years to come. The perfect new season staple if you ask me!

I bought this Topshop snake dress the other day when browsing the shops not really meaning to buy anything (oops!) and instantly fell in love with it. It's the same shape as the pink and blue leopard print version they had out in the summer that completely sold out! I love the silky, lightweight feel of the fabric and the print looks soo much prettier in person. The shift style shape gives it quite a 60's feel but the back of the dress is about 10cm longer than the front giving it a more modern edge. Can't wait to wear this with those Kelly Brook boots...

I have never really bought anything from Dorothy Perkins before as it's generally not a shop that really appeals to me. However, I had been searching the internet for some black heeled chelsea boots and decided to just search through every high street stores website that I could think of and came across these! They are by 'Stylist Pick' which is another brand that really I've not had much interest in, but these boots look and feel really classy and expensive. They were supposed to be £40 but Dorothy Perkins are currently running a 20% student discount promotion!

I love this check shirt from New Look! It was so cheap, only £15 (£13.50 with student discount!!) and it is the absolute perfect shape that I'm looking for in a casual shirt. It is oversized but not in a too baggy kind of way and it's quite longline. I don't think I'm describing this too well so I will just have to do an outfit post on it soon..

These leopard print chelsea boots from New Look were also so cheap! I love a bargain and couldn't resist, only £22.50 after discount.. I think it's quite clear I have a AW boots obsession...

I fancied a nice nudey/pink/dusky kind of coloured lipstick and found this one in Topshop, it's nice but is probably a bit too pale for what I was looking for so the search is still on!

It also seems like I'm having a bit of a moment with animal prints for Autumn too! I saw these trousers on ASOS and couldn't resist with the 20% student discount they were running.. I think these will be great for a night out but also for smarter, more formal occasions with a white shirt and black blazer.

I have been absolutely obsessed with over the knee boots and have been searching for some heeled ones that aren't too expensive as I don't actually know how often I will wear them (I'm hoping a lot!). This Kelly Brook pair from New Look are a suede effect and I'm hoping they're going to be just what I've been looking for when they arrive! I love the idea of wearing them over black jeans and with short evening dresses with no tights.

Things I really like..

I am so so sorry for not posting in such a ridiculously long time!!
Since my last post I have finished my year long placement from university and have been on a much needed holiday!
I though I would share a few pictures with you from my time in Antalya, Turkey.. more to come..
The playsuit I am wearing in these pictures is from River Island, as are the sandals. My studded clutch bag is from Zara.
I bought most of my clothes from River Island for my holiday because they seem to be the only place that I can find things I really like at the moment.
I have already started looking at Autumn/Winter pieces and it seems like River Island is going to be my favourite again (Taking over from Topshop!). Maybe I will do a Like.Want.Need River Island special soon.. Watch this space!

Hope you've all had a lovely summer so far :)

Summer time..

Hellooooo.. It's such a lovely summers day today, and to make it even better its bank holiday tomorrow which means no work on Monday.. Yayyyy!
I bought these leopard print converse from Office this weekend when I went shopping with my boyfriend. I've been wanting them for a while now and kept looking at them online, luckily I went in to the store and they had them in my size, and even more luckily, they were priced cheaper than on the website! It was a mistake in store but they honoured the price so with that and my student discount on top I got these for around £38.
I'm really happy with them and can't wait to wear them with summery outfits and at festivals!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend :)

My little secret..

So, I just wanted to let you all in on one of my favourite new hair products!
Sadly, I have quite the un-glamorous problem of a dry, itchy, flaky scalp- this issue has only recently started due to a side effect of some medication blah blah blah long story..
Anyway my doctor told me that coconut oil can be really helpful in sorting this out so I started looking around for products to use. I always love a good hair mask so I though a mask made from coconut oil would be perfect! I had no idea that Palmer's made anything other than coco butter to be honest, but when I saw this in Sally's I thought it might just do the job.. I massaged the majority of the sachet in to my scalp and then ran the rest through my hair- I managed to cover my whole scalp and hair with one packet. The mask is a normal 'mask-like' consistency and smells soo good! I leave this on my hair for as long as possible, normally around an hour or so and then rinse off.
The results are amazing! Even after just one use my hair was super soft and smelling of coconut for about a week even after washing my hair a few times as normal! The best part of it for me was that it left my scalp feeling completely moisturised, flake free and not at all itchy.. I find using one of these sachets once a week or so is best for me, and at only £2 a sachet this is something I will definitely be keeping up for a long time.
Even if you don't have scalp issues, I would definitely recommend this just as a lovely hair mask to keep your hair strong, shiny and smelling amazing!

Pretty paisley..

ASOS dress
Topshop clutch
New Look wedges

I wore this out on Friday night for my little sisters 18th Birthday in Shoreditch..
I loved the colours of the gorgeous paisley print on this ASOS shift dress and had to have it! I also really like the shape of shift dresses so this was a perfect summer piece for me really.. I teamed this with a dark green, studded Topshop clutch (stolen from my sister) and a pair of simple New Look cork wedges.
This is an outfit I will definitely be wearing again over the summer, I think I'd like to try the dress with flat sandals and sunglasses for a nice casual day.

River Island cami top
Zara clutch bag
Zara sandals
River Island skirt
Topshop Leigh jeans
River Island playsuit

Like.Want.Need the sun is (finally) out in England edition!!..

I'm really in to all the little cami style tops that are out for this summer, particularly in bright colour pop, neon shades. This River Island one is the perfect shade of neon yellow and is only £12! The cute swing style shape detail will make this so flattering so this is definitely on my 'to purchase' list.

They have made a matching clutch!!!! You may remember a couple of months ago I posted about a pair of amazing Zara heels (here), well they have now bought out a beautiful matching bag! The shoes are still on my wishlist and now I neeeeeed to have both!

As you can probably tell, Zara are my absolute favourite for shoes and accessories. These gold detail sandals are just perfect. I really like the double ankle strap and the fact that these could so easily be dressed up or down.

I am currently a little bit obsessed with black and white horizontal stripes. I want them on everything! So of course I would want this tube skirt from River Island. I think this would look great with the neon cami or a boy fit white t-shirt..

As you probably all know I am in love with Topshop Leigh jeans, so summer colour variations of them are definitely for me! I've wanted a pair of orange jeans for the past few summers but have never found any I liked enough to buy. This pair may just be the ones!

I really love the shape of biker jackets and the colour and pattern of this River Island one really updates the classic biker for spring/summer. The material is a kind of aztec inspired jacquard which is really pretty and interesting. This would look so lovely with blue jeans for a casual daytime outfit.

How cute is this River Island playsuit?!? I love the embroidery detail adding the pop of summer colour. I really want to buy this for my holiday in the summer to wear over a bikini for the day time.

Sunday snap..

Hellooo! Really sorry for the lack of posts recently! But here is a picture of me that my Boyfriend took when he was messing about with my camera this morning.. We were just off to do a bit of shopping- the results of which I will show to you all soon!
I fancied wearing something really comfy and casual so threw on my Topshop navy/black/white striped leggings and a new white studded Topman(!) tee with my mint Vans.
All of my attention recently has been focused on work and growing my nail business (website is almost finished thank god!). All I have been looking at recently is blogs about nails, peoples nail art pinterest boards and Gelish colour swatches! I'm really excited to improve my nail art skills and will hopefully be showing some of this off to you soon..
In other news, me and a group of friends are going to see Beyonce on Saturday!!!!! I'm super excited and have no idea what to wear.. I'm sure I'll be sharing some pictures from the night so will let you know what I choose!

Hope you're all having a lovely Sunday... Can't wait for my Sunday roast mmm...

Spring purchases..

I have been a very bad blogger and I am sorry!! I haven't posted in over 2 weeks because I've been so busy recently with work and getting my nail qualifications and just general life seems to have taken over. I feel like I haven't had a minute to myself for weeks!.. I have collected a few new spring purchases that I though I should share with you though!

The justification for the majority of the things I have bought recently is that they are for my holiday in the summer with my boyfriend (2 weeks in Turkey, I can't wait!!) butttttt really I just can't help myself sometimes!

I can't even remember how I came across this necklace but once I saw it, I knew I really wanted it. I just imagined it against tanned skin in the sun and it was sold!! I got it from a random online jewellers called Sparkling Jewellery.

I'm always wanting to find new, cute phone cases because I'm too scared to walk around with a naked iPhone! I normally buy them from eBay for a few pounds but they can be a bit hit and miss. When I was browsing Accessorize recently I spotted a really great selection of eye catching good quality cases and knew straight away that I definitely wasn't going home without one (I even had to wander around the shop for ages debating between two different desgins!). They have a good selection of hard and soft silicone cases for all different phones and devices which you can find here. I prefer soft silicone cases but thats just me!

I bought these cat eye sunglasses from River Island on Oxford Street on a quick, spontaneous run in after dinner with a friend. I fancied some new black sunglasses and really like the cat eye shape as I've never had any like that before. It's not too much of a crazy cat eyed shape so they don't look over the top for everyday wear which is great, and at only £10 I'm very happy!

I bought the Enrapture Extremity heated rollers after reading so many good reviews of them on blogs recently. I normally just use my Remington Pearl wand (which I can't recommend enough!) to put a wave in my hair, but fancied seeing what the fuss was all about with these. I bought them from John Lewis and at the time they were only about £40 because they were on promotion at Tesco and John Lewis had price matched. Tesco had actually sold out of them and I just happened to get a really good deal! I have only tried these once so far and I think I need to take a bit of time to perfect a good technique with them but I can see them being a really good product, especially for nights out.

I got this glittery beigey, taupy, comfy jumper from M&S in the sale! I can't say I often shop for clothes in Marks and Spencers but I spotted this on a quick trip to buy some Percy Pigs. It was reduced from £35 to £15 and is really comfy and looks great with jeans and converse for a casual day look and would also be a great little cover up for cool summer evenings.

I have been scouring the internet recently for bikinis and ASOS have definitely impressed me with their huge selection. I had spotted this bikini by an Australian brand called 'All About Eve' but hadn't bought it because it was £50 which is pretty out of my price range for one bikini!! It then went down to £30 in the sale and I had to have it! Can't wait to wear this on holidayyyyyy..

Topshop Maxi Dress
Topshop Sandals
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
H&M Trousers
River Island Bikini
Topshop Dress

So, as you can probably tell, I reallllllly want it to be summer right now!! I've just had a week off work so have had lots of time to shop online and may have happened to accidentally book a holiday for July!
This has inspired me to start shopping for my summer wardrobe..

I love the blurred pink floral print on this Topshop maxi, it also has really cute cut out detail on the front and back. I think this dress would be so perfect for a summer wedding with sandals or dressed down for a bbq with a denim jacket and sunglasses.

I really really want to buy these Topshop sandals so badly.. I had a similar pair of leopard print ones from Next last year that I loved and practically wore every day until they broke so these would be a perfect replacement. They're sold out in a few sizes now though so may have to consider ordering the size up and hope that they fit.

So, I've heard a lot about Estee Lauder double wear foundation and think it's about time I give it a try. A foundation with a bit of staying power is something I really need. For some reason, I tend to touch my face a lot during the day, particularly around my chin and mouth, which rubs off the make up in these areas. I'm hoping that this foundation will not rub off at all and will leave me with a really smooth looking complexion.

How cute are these H&M blue ditsy floral print trousers?! I love that they're ankle grazer length so will look great with sandals or converse/vans type shoes. These are so much more exciting that regular jeans for spring.

I found this necklace while looking through The Hunt, which is a really great website that I've come across recently. The site basically allows you to upload pictures of things (generally clothes, jewellery, shoes, home items) that you've seen on the internet or wherever (images are mostly taken from tumblr, we heart it, instagram etc) and you can ask other users to help you find where the item can be purchased from. I think this is such an amazing idea because theres been so many occasions in the past where I've seen something I like but even after endless googling still cant seem to find where it's from!
This necklace is from a seller on Etsy called Jenny and Jude, it's rolled gold and turquoise and is sooo pretty. I can just imagine how nice this would look against a tan..

I really like the print design on this bikini from River Island and also think the little zips add a really nice detail. When I'm on holiday I absolutely refuse to wear anything during the day with straps because I hate tan lines so this will be perfect for me.

This teal/turquoise tshirt dress from Topshop is already majorly selling out!! This is one of those things that is so easy to wear but is also such a statement item. I can imagine just throwing this on over a bikini for lunch by the beach or adding some jewellery and cute sandals to go out in the evening.

Neon nights.

Forever 21 Blazer
Zara Top
Topshop Leigh Jeans
Zara Shoes
Zara Bag

I wore this outfit out on Thursday night in Shoreditch for my friends birthday meal and drinks. We ate at Pizza East (garlic bread, pizza and cinnamon doughnuts mmmm) and then went to a couple of bars and then on to Hoxton Pony.

I really fancied injecting a bit of spring time colour in to my outfit despite the freezing temperatures, so after running around Westfields Stratford like a crazy lady on Thursday afternoon, managed to find this amazing blazer in Forever 21! I can't seem to find it on the website at the moment but they do have a really good range of other affordable blazers online, I believe this cost me £22.75 which is not bad at all!

I didn't want to be dressed too smart so paired this with my faithful Topshop Leigh Jeans, a black vest top from Zara and my studded Zara shoes which I loveeeeee.

This blazer is pretty thin and I didn't fancy freezing in London all night so threw on my Zara (notice a theme here?!) camouflage fur lined coat over the top. I can't wait to be able to wear this blazer in the summer, maybe with a pair of white shorts and sandals.

On another note, I made this yummy Malteser and marshmallow tray bake the other day and though I would share a picture of it with you!!

Very. Exciting. Purchase..!

I have just bought a Canon EOS 650D DSLR camera!!!.. I'm so excited for it to arrive on monday so I can't start playing with it and learning how to use it properly.

I have been lacking in the outfit posts department recently but am planning for this to all change once I have this beautiful camera!

I bought mine from ProCameraShop because it had the best price (and for anyone that knows me- you know I like to do my research!) and it also has a really high amount of good reviews on the google shopping site.

So from now on I promise to take as many pretty pictures as I can for my blog and am also planning on really improving on my photoshop and other geeky tech skills.. I can't wait to get started!

If anyone has any suggestions of cute camera cases that would be great because I really dont fancy wandering around with a huge ugly, black, padded camera bag next to my Mulberry!! haha

Perfect pores please..

I am on a mission to have a perfect, clog-free, smooth as a babies bum complexion so, after scouring blogs and the boots website I decided to purchase these two products; 'Effaclar Duo' by La Roche-Posay and 'No Clogs Allowed' by Soap and Glory.

I'd read about Effaclar Duo on quite a few blogs and seen that everyone was raving about it but still wasn't really sure what it actually was. I decided to go for it and buy it anyway (in the 3 for 2 deal at boots!) to see what all the fuss was about.
Effaclar Duo is a cream-gel that promises to be a 'complete skincare solution' for skin with signs of imperfections. The main ingredients are used to protect the skin against breakouts and blemishes forming and to unclog pores. Luckily enough, I don't suffer too much from spots so I was looking for this product to clear out my pores and leave my skin looking bright and clear.

I originally wasn't sure if this product was supposed to be used instead of moisturiser or as something extra. The creme-gel is actually quite moisturising despite having ingredients in that tend to dry out skin (to dry up spots and get rid of oil) so I don't feel like I need to use moisturiser on top of it.
I use a small amount to cover my whole face (about as much as in the picture below) paying particular attention to my nose as this is where I really notice that my skin can get clogged up and oily.

After using this my skin felt fresh, soft, smooth and not at all oily.. this makes a great base for make up and I feel like my make up actually looks better sitting on top of this than my regular moisturiser.
I have noticed the skin around my nose is improving in that pores appear smaller and clearer and I think after I have used this for another week or so they will be virtually invisible.
This is a great product to use every day to maintain your complexion, I have been using this every morning for a week now and have been switching between my regular moisturiser and this product at night to try and find the perfect balance for me. I have read people saying that if you use this twice a day you may begin to feel your skin is not as moisturised as it could be which makes me think I may stick to the Effaclar Duo in the morning (especially as it is a great base for make up) and moisturising normally at night to avoid this.

Now, the second product I have used to try and combat oversized pores is 'No Clogs Allowed- super self heating deep pore detox mask'.  I felt like I needed a mask to get deep down in to my skin to clear it of all the general dirt that gets trapped in our pores. I have had really good experiences with other Soap and Glory products and had seen this product had even won awards for how effective it is so thought I should definitely give it a go.

As this is a deep detoxing mask, it is only designed to be used once or twice a week so I've only managed to use this once so far but am planning on using it again tonight!
This mask is super easy to use and is also super effective at giving the skin a deep clean, reducing pores and getting rid of blackheads.
To use 'No Clogs Allowed' I cleaned all the make up off my face (with Bioderma Sensibio H2O) and squeezed out a grape sized dollop on to my finger -it is important to shake the tube before using it otherwise you will end up with a watery oil coming out before the rest of the mask.
I then smoothed this all over my face and then wet my fingers under the tap to start smoothing this in in circular motions. Even though the box says 'Super self heating' I hadn't really thought about the fact that this would actually heat up when putting it on my face (I think it is the reaction with the water that creates the heat). There really is a proper heating sensation that does get quite warm, this only last for a minute or so though and isn't uncomfortable, it was just more of a surprise to me than anything else! At this point the mask will also turn from white to blue which means the 'Poreclear technology' has been activated.

I left the mask on my skin for a few minutes and then washed it off in circular motions with the sponge provided. My skin felt so clean and refreshed after using this and my pores looked significantly reduced and clearer. I also really noticed that the texture of all of the skin on my face felt a lot smoother which helped overall to improve the appearance and brightness of my complexion.
I will definitely continue to use this product at least once a week as I feel like having a deep clean of my face is really important considering the amount that the skin in this area goes through everyday with make up and pollution etc. I really love the fact that Soap and Glory products generally do exactly as they say they will and this one does not disappoint!

If anyone has any suggestions about other products you've used to reduce the appearance of pores I'd be really interested to know! :)

Converse  White Oxford Trainers
Zara Black and White Studded Sandals
Topshop Richard Hi-Vamp Sandals
Zara Coral Ballerina with Metal Toe Cap
Zara Wedge Espadrille

I may as well have just written an 'I <3 Zara shoes' post today, because it's true I do!! I think they have one of the best selections on the high street at the moment and have done for a while.. I couldn't leave out a couple of others though (can't imagine a Like.Want.Need. post without at least one item from Topshop!)

So, these white Converse All Stars lace up trainers are a perfect base for a nice casual, weekend outfit- however, what I really wanted was a pair of these with glitter!! I saw a hairdresser at my salon with these colour converse on but they had small silver glitter on the white canvas, not completely covering it like a thick glitter but just a nice glitteryness (defo not a word). I can't seem to find the exact pair online so I think this calls for a customisation task with some glitter fabric paint (like this). I love a little creative task and this would be so easy so I think this is something I'll end up doing one weekend.

LOVEEEEE these Zara Black and White Studded Sandals, these would look amazing with a pair of printed silk trousers for Spring/Summer. Bold, patterned heels are something we are going to see a lot of this SS so I think these would be a great way to try out the trend without being too outrageous.

These Topshop Richard Hi-Vamp Sandals are pretty much perfect. They are also sold out online so it seems lots of other people feel the same way I do about these! I used the store checker and found that they are still available in my local store (Stratford City Westfields) and in my size so it is worth having a look in to if you want to get your hands on these beautiful shoes. I think the buckle detail is what makes me want these so much!

How cute are these Zara coral ballerinas?! The gold hardware on the toe gives them such a pretty, interesting edge and the colour would look amazing with a pair of nice bright mid blue jeans (like these- which i have).

These espadrille wedges from Zara are only £39.99 which I think is actually really good price for a shoe like this which can be worn over and over again with so many different summer outfits. I would go as far to call these a 'Spring Summer staple' item! I really like that the metallic strip gives them an interesting  on trend twist.

I think i may have gotten a little bit too obsessed with shoes today by dedicating a whole post to them, but I hope this may have inspired your spring summer footwear wardrobe.. I'd love to see some of your shoe finds, particularly bold, statement, patterned heels as this is a trend I'm really loving!

Sorry if you have snow outside and I'm rambling on about the summer- I think this is me being a bit over optimistic but hey, a girl can dream...

Things I am excited about right now..!

I'm feeling quite happy and excited about things at the moment..
You may have noticed that I have now got my own official, real life, grown up website url... soooooo, welcome to www.charlottemeetsworld.com!!!!
I know this is such a small thing really and everyone has them but it still made me pretty excited.
I would like to celebrate like this..

..Buttt I will more than likely be celebrating with a glass of pinot grigio and a chicken and green peppers pizza from Dominos (which is still pretty good in my mind).

The second thing I am very excited about at the moment is that I am starting my own business..
I am going to be doing Gelish gel nails! I have been wanting to start some sort of nail business since before I started uni, around 3 years ago and now I have finally decided to go for it.
Gelish is a gel polish system by a company called Nail Harmony, the products used apply like a normal nail polish but are cured by an LED or UV light and act and wear like a gel.
I have bought so many different bits and pieces needed to start my business and can't wait to properly get going. Every delivery of different bits I have ordered gets me more and more inpatient to start. Who knew nail buffers, cuticle oil and beauty boxes could be so exciting?!
I did my first set of nails on my sister and am actually pretty impressed with myself.. Choosing more colours to buy is going to be a challenge as they offer such a large range but I'm sure I'll cope (or maybe just end up buying every single one!!).
I'm planning on practicing for a while and then by the time I go back to Uni in September I'll be completely ready to start my mobile business. I'll most probably being doing a few more posts about how this is going with pictures of different colours and designs I've tried out which I hope will be of interest to you!
Here is the current colour selection..

So far i have bought; Deep Sea, Emerald Dust, It's A Lily, Sweet Morning Dew, Bella's Vampire, Backstage Beauty and All Dhalia-ed Up.
What colours do you guys like? Any favourites? I'd be really interested to know :)

Oooh also, I'm getting my hair done on Sunday and should hopefully be going a little darker but I'm sure I'll end up doing a post about that too.

I think that's all for now, have a lovely weekend!

I think I'm in love..

The Mulberry Willow SS13 collection has made my little heart melt, it is so perfect!
There are five size variations of the Willow; the Oversized Willow Tote (far left), then the Willow Tote, the Small Willow, the Oversized Willow Clutch and the Willow Clutch (far right)... and I want all five!
I think I have decided that the Small Willow is my favourite.. (see below)

I also love every single colour in this bag too (minus the black with silver hard wear version that I have missed out of this image)
The Small Willow Tote costs £1250 or £1650 if you go for the calf and ostrich mix versions (the navy, apricot and white) so I don't think I'll be getting one anytime soon, unless I win the lottery!

Ahhh a girl can dream....

Hair Saviour

I've really been trying to keep my hair in good condition recently. I've stepped away from the bleach, had every split end removed and am slowly cutting down on the heat I use on my hair.
I have been searching to find the products needed to make my hair constantly feel as soft, shiny and thick as when I last stepped out of the hairdressers and I thinkkk I may be on my way to finding them!
I'm always asked at the hairdressers if I use any treatments and always feel slightly embarrassed and ashamed when I have to say 'no' and receive that disapproving look from the stylist!
So, last time I was at the hairdressers I was offered a complimentary moisturising treatment as I had to wait for my stylist to finish up with her last client and I jumped at the chance! My hair felt soooo noticeably soft, thick and healthy afterwards and this lasted for a good few weeks after my visit.
I then decided to invest in my own treatments to use at home to try and keep this effect year round. I wasn't actually told the brand or name of the treatment used on me so did a little bit of researching on the salons website and think I may have found the one used on me. It's by an American brand called Sebastian Professional, the product is called Hydra professional deep moisturising treatment. I found this on lots of websites but the cheapest was on eBay, I managed to find this for £10.60 rather than around £20 on most other online stores.

I have used this product twice so far (and I think I'll get about two more uses out of it) and I'm pretty impressed! I use this product on wet hair but before I have used shampoo or conditioner.
I use about the same amount as I would conditioner (which for me is quite a lot as I have quite long hair and generally just use quite a lot of it on my hair).
So, I smother this in my hair and then (here comes the attractive part), I cover my whole hair in cling filmed, wrapped all the way around the top of my head! I generally twist my hair in to a kind of top knot on the top of my head before wrapping to keep all the hair together.
Next, I get my hairdryer and put it on its warmest setting and hold this over my whole (cling-filmed) hair for 5-10 minutes. This does actually feel like a really long time when you're not drying any hair, just heating it up! But trust me, it is an essential part of the process!

(Everything you will need:)

I then wrap my hair in a towel to try and keep in some heat and sit around for about 20 mins (normally scouring the internet for new blogs to read!).
After this time I heat my hair on the warmest setting again for another couple of minutes and then remove the cling film and rinse. This product is designed to be use pre-shampoo so I then wash and dry my hair as normal and voila shiny, smooth, thick hair is all yours!!
I am really impressed with this product although I haven't managed to make the effect last quite as long as it did post-salon but I think that may have something to do with the fact that I am using a hairdryer for heat rather than a salon heater.
I really feel that using this product once a week will help to keep my hair in a great healthy condition!

Let me know if you have any hair products you think are worth trying to get this effect too! :)

What I Wore

Vila at ASOS blouse
Zara necklace
Topshop black Leigh jeans
Topshop Alegra stud boots (sold out from last AW- you can find similar on eBay!)

Sorry I've been away for a little while, my internet has been completely broken at home! I've had so many blog posts I've wanted to do so am so excited to be back online!

I bought this blouse from ASOS a few days ago when they had an up to 50% off brands event so I managed to get this for only £20! I love the bright neon print print and think this will be a great transitional piece from AW to SS as its really light and neon is going to be a key trend this summer.
I have been trying to get away from buying sheer blouses recently because I hate having to look for something to wear underneath them but with this print and the black background it isn't such an issue with this piece.

I love love love this necklace I bought from Zara a few weeks ago, I've been wearing it with everything from old band t-shirts to sweatshirts to blouses like this! Chunky statement jewellery can really dress up any outfit or give a bit of a fashion edge to everyday casual outfits and I can't wait to buy more. I have seen quite a few nice bits of jewellery on Etsy, you can get some really great items that not everyone will have and you can also get some great bargains!

I wore this outfit to work a few days ago and think I'll definitely look into injecting a few more neon pieces in to my wardrobe soon..

Like.Want.Need.

Canon 650D
Topshop stripe dress
H&M boots
H&M iPhone case
Superdrug Vitamin E body scrub
Topshop nail vanish in 'Keepin' it real'
Topshop black Leigh jeans

I reallly want a Canon EOS 650D DSLR camera, I have been reading loads of reviews on the internet about different cameras and I think this is the one I would definitely want. I'm not too experienced in using DSLR's (except for photographing the fashion ranges at work) so would have to do a lot of experimenting and practicing with it.. Just need to wait for the money fairy to visit me and it'll be mine..

This underwear set is from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's range for Autograph at Marks and Spencers. I love the detail in the bra in particular and love how this is so pretty but also so wearable! I think navy is a really gorgeous alternative to black underwear, in this set I would personally buy the Brazilian knickers because I just think they look so much nicer. This set works out at £50 which is quite expensive for an underwear set but this set boasts that it is 'swiss made', I presume this means it is of a higher quality to normal, being M&S I imagine this will be of very high quality anyway.

I want to get this striped dress from Topshop just to wear casually for work and weekends, I wear a lot of t-shirt style dresses at the moment with tights and boots because I just find them so easy and effortless to wear yet they look really good. I like how this could definitely be a transitional piece between AW and SS, this would look so cute with a tan and a pair of sandals for the daytime. I may be slightly getting ahead of myself with the whole summer thing in February, especially as it's forecast to snow here again this week!

I bought these H&M boots last weekend and have already worn them to work a few times and out to the pub, they look great with jeans, disco pants and dresses with tights. I was planning on buying the Topshop Amos boots in my previous Like.Want.Need. post but when I tried them on in the shop there was just something about the heel that didn't look right to me. I went in to H&M afterwards and saw these boots for only £24.99 and knew I had to have them!

I love the graphic floral print on this iPhone case from H&M, I'm definitely going to buy it as soon as i get the chance. I have been looking for a new case and fancied something in red/pink tones, I bought one on eBay but wasn't majorly impressed with it so will be interested to see what this one will be like when I see it in the shop.

This Vitamin E body scrub from superdrug is my absolute favourite. It has quite a harsh grain with a kind of sand like texture which I like as it feels like it gives you are really good scrub and actually properly does the job of a body scrub. I really dislike body scrubs that are more of a shower gel with some little ball like grain in, I feel no effect from them on my skin at all. After using this body scrub I can dramatically feel the difference in my skin texture and am not left with a horrible slimey residue on my skin that I find is always left behind from other scrubs. I would definitely recommend this and am going to go out a buy a new bottle of this very soon!

I think Topshop nail varnishes are great as there is so much choice in colour and they are surprisingly good quality and not too expensive. This pale pink colour is really cute for spring- again my mind thinking that were almost on the brink of spring summer when we really aren't!

You may have noticed that this is the second time Topshop leigh jeans have been on my wishlist, but I bought the blue pair and now reallly want to get another pair in black. They're just such a great fit for me and the fabric is so much softer than a normal denim which I really like. Everyone needs a pair of staple black jeans so these are a definite must buy for me at the moment.. I'm sure you'll get to see them in an outfit post very soon!!

20 random facts about me

Soo, I have been seeing lots of people doing blog posts with facts about themselves recently and thought I'd give it a go! I found it so hard to think of even 20 facts about me, I don't know how some people are managing to do 50!!
Here goes...

1.  I am a really fussy eater, like realllllllly fussy!! I’ve tried to broaden my horizons slightly recently- all I have really gained from this is that I can now eat beef burgers and a different brand of soup.. I’ll eat pretty much any kind of chocolate or dessert given to me though!

2.  I have only ever been to Disneyland once at the age of 21! (Just a few time less than my crazy friend Faye <3) I went with my wonderful boyfriend last October and loved it!

3. I have Crohn’s disease, I have really good treatment for it now though, the day I could eat garlic bread and pizza again was the best day ever!

4. I’m a summer baby and would love it to be summer all day, every day!! One year I’d love to travel the world and completely avoid winter, it’s a weird thought that that is actually possible to do that, the tan would be amazing..

5.  I’m currently on my placement year from Uni working as a Merchandise Assistant, my ultimate career goal is to become a fashion buyer and I will make it happen!

6. I go to University in Bournemouth and study Business Studies, I love Bournemouth and am really excited to move back in September.

7.  I love rubbish TV, anything that involves the Kardashians or any kind of programme like that, like the new Chasing the Saturdays programme, pretty much anything on E!

8. I do also like good programmes, I’ve just finished all of the series of Breaking Bad... My boyfriend got me in to this programme, he loves having a series to continually watch.

9. I’m quite obsessed with Mulberry.. I currently have 3 of their bags; an Oak leather Bayswater, a large black patent Roxanne tote and a Black forest Lily with tassels (see it in this post), and I also have an oak purse to match my Bayswater. And even better, I haven’t paid full price for any of them!

10.  I have 2 tattoos, one on the left hand side of my hip/lower back area and one on the back of my right ankle.

11.  I also have 8 piercings; 2 in one ear lobe, 3 in the other and my tragus on the same ear, my nose and my belly button (I don’t wear a piercing in my belly anymore though)

12. I have one younger sister called Nicole, she is almost 18 but I refuse to believe she is growing up!

13. My favourite film is ’10 things I hate about you’ which came out in 1999. This makes me feel old.

14. I have been getting highlights since the age of 12 so don’t really know what I look like with my natural hair colour… I have gone a bit darker recently though, I did a post about it!

15. I love maltesers a lot, in my first month of working in an office I bought and ate a whole share size bag of them every single day… until I soon realised this is a sure way to put on lots of weight very fast and had to cut back on my malteser love :(

16. I want to have really long hair, I call it mermaid hair, I’d like it to be at around waist length.

17. I once hitchhiked to Paris with my friend Amy. We hitchhiked on a roundabout and got a lift with some army people, we then hitchhiked again at another roundabout and got a lift with an old couple, then blagged our way on to a polish coach full of old polish women watching polish movies, we then got a lift in the back of a van, then blagged a ferry to Calais then hitchhiked to Paris CDG airport which was absolutely completely empty, so we blagged a bus and train in to Paris and ended up right underneath the Eiffel Tower. We did this all for charity and raised a few hundred pounds between us :)

18. I can’t wait to one day own my own house and decorate every single room to perfection!

19.  I’m obsessed with shopping, mainly online these days- I’ve always got at least one shopping website open on my laptop.

20.  I’m really good at remembering the lyrics to songs, even songs I don’t even realise that I know!

I'm such a nosey person so would love to read other peoples facts, comment the link to your post or anyone else's you think are interesting :)
